Cathy & Ray Oliver have let us know that they have sold
BLUEGRASS AMARIKA
(Born In The USA {imp.USA} x Bluegrass Love Me True)
"It was a sad day when he left us with a colt son as company."
Thank you for letting us know. We look forward to hearing about this new chapter in his life.
Anja Harley, proud owner of Raven Lodge Musical
(Raven Lodge Born Brave x BLUEGRASS SNAP SHOT)
sent us in her great news.
"Music had a great, (though short because of horse flu) show season as a 3 year old. He had a very successful day at the End of Season show for the Vic Pinto Society in Berwick, placings in every class and Reserve Champion Junior Pinto of the day, among other smaller shows around Geelong and now has been awarded Runner Up High Point 3 year old Pinto."
CONGRATULATIONS
Anja and Music, we look forward to hearing more in the future.

Geronimo
March 2005
This update we welcome
EMILY WALL of Acacia Hills, Tasmania
We got a lovely email from 14 year old Emily letting us know that
she is the proud new owner of
BLUEGRASS GERONIMO (D'Amors Saabi-Khan x Bluegrass Succession).
"GERRY" (as he is affectionately known as) has arrived safely and is settling in well
and Emily is already enjoying riding him.
We look forward to future updates Emily.

Kielee Hawtin has let us know about her latest addition, a daughter of
BLUEGRASS SNAP SHOT
(Danteffa x Nihal Phillipa)
"I thought I would let you know
that a new girl will be joining our broodmare band, a chestnut overo/sabino by
Raven Lodge Born Brave and out of
BLUEGRASS SNAP SHOT. Her name is Shyne and she will be bred to Azzaam for a 2008 foal.
I've once again fallen in love with a grand daughter of Danteffa. That
makes three of my broodies being Danteffa daughters or grand daughters!"
Look forward to hearing about the future baby Kielee.

Caitlin Edey has sent in an update on BLUEGRASS COUNTY
(*Born In The USA x Bluegrass Story Book)
"On the 8th of March, Blue and I went to the Orbost Horse Trials (O.D.E).
In our dressage we came =3rd
and overall we came =6th,
which made my instructor happy.
On Saturday 22nd March 08,
Blue and I competed at the
Buchan Horse trials (O.D.E) (pictured). We did alright but the cross country was fairly hard and I got 1 refusal and everyone got time faults. "
Keep up the great work Caitlin!

It is with sadness
that we let you all know that Wednesday 6th September,
BLUEGRASS ABDICATION
passed onto greener pastures. She was 27 years old, and admittedly
did look like her time was coming to a close, but sometime a little
further in the future though.
Abby
was our orphan baby, but grew up to be a strong healthy filly. She
was leased out for a few years, where she was shown and then bred
with, producing Gift of Love
and Sudden Impact
(both by Bluegrass Rendition)
for Alan & Kerry Harding. When she returned home to us, she gave us
Bluegrass Dantielle
(BPL Dante) Bluegrass Pristine
(exp.GB) (Mash), Bluegrass
Abdullah (Danteffa),
Bluegrass Southern Belle
and Bluegrass Honky Tonk Angel
(both by Born In The USA). We still have her grand daughter
BLUEGRASS KISS ME
(Kiss And Tell x Bluegrass
Pristine), unfortunately
KISS ME
has been left unable to reproduce after trying to have her only
foal, and all went wrong.
Bluegrass Abdication - January 1988
Bluegrass Succession - March 1988 - Arabian Classic Supreme Female
Well to make it all
the sadder, Abby's
best friend BLUEGRASS
SUCCESSION had been missing
her ever since, a picture of health and looking like many more years
left in her. But her heart was so broken at her lose of
Abby,
that she too left this earth to join her bestest friend.
Succession
was one of our very special ladies........with a promising career
ahead of her as a yearling until she was caught in the fence a cut
her extensor tendon in her near hind. After mum's many months of TLC
and dedication, Succession
was on the road to recovery. She was left to be a paddock horse for
a few years to grow and strengthen that leg. When we decided we
would breed with her, we brought her in to give some light work to
make sure she had plenty of strength, and she blossomed into a
beautiful show mare, winning the first ever East
Coast Championships 1987 - Reserve Champion Mare,
1987 Versatile Arabian Show
Supreme Exhibit,
1987 Melbourne Royal Champion Mare,
1987 Arabian Classic Reserve
Champion Mare and
1988 Classic Champion Mare and
Supreme Female, to name a few
of her many fabulous wins.
She also produced some beautiful babies for us:
Bluegrass Joshua
(Mash), Bluegrass Monogramm
(Danteffa), Bluegrass
Thanksgiving &
Bluegrass Cheyenne
(both by Born In The USA),
Bluegrass Geronimo (D'Amors
Saabi-Khan) and BLUEGRASS
STORY BOOK (Danteffa), whom we
still own. We also have her grand daughters
BLUEGRASS FAIRY TALE
(D'Amors Saabi-Khan) and
BLUEGRASS JUST A DOLL
(Amadeus)
Two of our special ladies are now together again...........rest in
peace Ab and Succeshy.........bestest friends enjoying greener
pastures together.

We congratulate
REEBEKAH REED
of Waroona, Western Australia
on her purchase of
BLUEGRASS HEART OF GOLD
(Amadeus x Bluegrass Cast A Spell)
It was so lovely when we received the email that said
"The wait is over she is here and wow she is gorgeous"
We look forward to hearing more of GOLDIE in the future..........Good Luck at the States Championships in November.
GOLDIE (left) and her new friend. May 2008
GOLDIE - January 2008

Clayton & Vikki Bazeley of
New Zealand
shared their news of
PK SO VAYNE
(Joda Aloof x Bluegrass Amazing Grace)
being awarded
Junior Reserve Champion at the NZ All Breeds earlier this year.
CONGRATULATIONS Clayton & Vikki, we are sure we are going to hear more of this young boy in the future!
