AMADEUS - with Norma 4 days after his arrival to Bluegrass

We would just love to say a very big
THANK YOU to all of you who sent in emails Congratulating us on the arrival of AMADEUS.
He has settled in at the farm, like he always lived there. A very beautiful temperament ... just loves people, and his new best friend, gelding Bluegrass Bound For Glory.
Looking forward to the 07/08 season when we get to see the babies.

After a successful 2006 show season Michelle Stevens has decided to breed her mare BLUEGRASS SNAP SHOT {Danteffa x Nihal Phillipa}.

Michelle was the successful bidder in the AHPAV Stallion Tender,
for Arinya Park Klass (*Monteego Bay x Breakaway Khameo). At the start of the month we got an email from Michelle to say the SNAP SHOT was in foal.

CONGRATULATIONS Michelle ..... we will look forward to hearing all about the baby Spring next year !!!

Back in September we had an email from Jai Cookman and George Rawiri, to let us know that there gelding
BLUEGRASS PRINCE OF THE NILE
{*Born In The USA x Nihal Phillipa}
had just come back from Kristin Galea's where he had some saddle education. Jai had ridden him a couple of times and he's going really well and is VERY quiet and sensible.

Then on the 5th of November we got another email from Jai and George

to say that PRINCE had just been to the Whittlesea Agricultural show,

where he was 1st in a class of 5 and went onto be awarded

Champion Arabian Gelding.

Jai and George said "we are so proud of the boy!" and so you should be.

Jai and George look forward to getting PRINCE out to some dressage competitions early next.

Good Luck ..... we look forward to hearing more on PRINCE in the future.

Anna and Clint Salisbury have sent us some great news on their mare BLUEGRASS KISSED
{KissAndTell x Bluegrass Lovepotion}
.... she has given them a baby. The little bay baby boy is sired by Sharinga Sarazan (Hamil x Sharinga Yamina).

Elisabeth Ward, proud owner of BLUEGRASS KING OF ROCK (aka ELVIS) has sent us some more export news !!

The two daughters of ELVIS - Raaward Savannah & Raaward Serenity -

have been exported to Bahrain.

This is the third exported ELVIS baby,

as Raaward Priscilla went to New Zealand back in 2005.

KING OF ROCK is sired by the straight Egyptian BORN IN THE USA {imp.USA} and out of the very beautiful

BLUEGRASS LOVE ME TENDER {Mash x Bluegrass Lovepotion},

making him a maternal half brother to

BLUEGRASS EASY LOVIN

who was exported Saudi Arabia in February 2006.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Ward family and we look forward to hearing about the babies due next season.

This month we welcome some new Bluegrass Family members. Tracey Cowan from NSW has sent us in an email to let us know that her daughter Taylor, is the proud owner of

Mah-jongg Mystique.

TIKI, as she is affectionately known as in the Cowan family,

is sired by MASH and out of

BLUEGRASS FRUITION,

who in turn is by TRISTRAM APPARITION and out of WINDSOR PARK BINT BAYANG.

Some of you will remember that last, year family member Colleen Brouns, was left to raise a little filly foal after the mother rejected her.

PORSHA,

more affectionately known as ANNIE,

is now a healthy yearling filly,

out growing up in the paddock with her grand mother

BLUEGRASS FASCINATION,

"learning to be a horse" as Colleen says in her email. "If she sees me when I’m outside she canters up and neighs".

Well done Colleen, it is not an easy task rearing a new born foal, but it certainly looks like ANNIE is going well.

in the background.

"We have 2 great successful outings in the last 3 weeks.

Newcomb /Whittington Open horse show was on in Geelong and he got 4x 2nds and a reserve champ!!!! really pleased...and also we have just been to the Pinto state champs at werribee- and music got awarded 5th in the 2yr old foal futurities- I was so pleased and proud of him! he was such a good boy for the state champs...he did his family proud!!!!"
