- In 1992, Paul, Norma and Tracey spent five
weeks in America searching for the next stallion to become a part of
Bluegrass.
- The journey ended at
Duane Scudder's Windmill Farm,
when the 3 month old, straight Egyptian colt
BORN IN THE USA
was found.
-
-
In 1995, this typey, athletic colt, now
-
standing a powerful
15.2h, took the show
-
world by storm.
- At the
FEATURE SHOW he
was awarded Supreme Purebred Entire
- by Jorgen Fredericksen
{Denmark}.....
- and then just one week
later, attended the
- 25th SILVER JUBILEE
CLASSIC,
- where he won
Junior Champion Colt,
- Supreme Stallion/Colt
and Supreme Purebred Exhibit under Willie Poth
{France}.
-
- BEAR
(as
he was affectionately known)
- went on to be awarded
- 1997 SOUTH COAST ARABIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Reserve Champion Stallion
- Judge: Greg Knowles {USA}
- 1997 AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL
ARABIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Top Ten Stallion
- 1998 ARABIAN CLASSIC
- Champion Stallion Supreme Stallion / Colt
- Supreme Purebred Exhibit
- Judge: Dr Ton Hulshof {Netherlands}
- 1999 AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL
ARABIAN
CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Top Ten Stallion
-
- His progeny continued on the
tradition
- of
Bluegrass
horses, consistently winning
- in the show
ring, taking out some of the major awards from some of Australia's prestigious shows.
-
- Unfortunately, in April 2000,
-
BORN IN THE USA
had an accident that left him
a gelding. He started a new chapter in his life................. and this once
"crowd favourite" for the Champion Stallion award at many
shows, may now be the one to watch in the gelding ring.
