"And the 1984 Australian National Champion Stallion is .................
Tristram Apparition"

In 1978, the fairy tale, half Egyptian colt TRISTRAM APPARITION joined the stud. He was bred to the three original Purebred mares of Bluegrass, along with their ED-LEN daughters, to produce some of the best performed show horses in Australia.
TRISTRAM APPARITION was a fabulous show horse, like a helium balloon on a string. His very successful show career included such wins as 1984 AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION STALLION, 1984 Arabian Classic Reserve Champion Stallion and 1983 Melbourne Royal Champion Arabian Stallion.
The TRISTRAM APPARITION progeny proved to be a force to reckon with. Countless major awards from the top shows of Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia were gathered by theses horses, including Australian Championships and Top Tens, East Coast Champion and Reserve, Classic Supremes and Champions and Reserves, Victorian Futurity winners, Melbourne Royal Champions and Reserves and RAMI sash winners and Golden Souvenir Show Supreme and Champion.
And for five consecutive years through his progeny, TRISTRAM APPARITION was the winner of the Chipala Award for "The Sire Of The Most Successful Pure Arabian Progeny" at the 1985 to 1989 Arabian Classic.
